Postby Cb32 on Sat Apr 17, 2010 5:17 pm

Hi
I am new to this forum and will be taking our first proper camping this summer and would like to take advantage of the electric hook up the camping pitch provides, however o have no idea what pieces of equiment I need in order to carry the power from hook up to tent.local camping shops have not been able to offer me any solutions! We are going to france.
Would also like any advice on what kind of electrical equiment can be used with the hook up
many thanks

Hi welcome to the forum :)

You need two items (although you may find with some sites in france you only need the one but you need both just in case!)

EHU (Electric Hook Up) such as this

The extra item that is must as some sites still use the standard european 2 pin is the converter

As for information on electric hook up see this thread.

Cheers hope it helps

Andy

We have found that most sites you don't need the converter.. usually the older or those that have not updated.. problem is until you get to site you just don't know so for sake of a fiver and that it adds really no weight or takes up that much space your better off with it :)

hi,

just come back from france its standard blue 240v socket, didn't need an adaptor, don't bother wasting money buying electrics from camping shops, make them your self,
