Hiya from a camping addict

Postby cocoloco on Thu Jun 18, 2009 12:28 pm

Hiya,

I'm new to this forum, been camping for just over a year now and already addicted, :) normally on UKCS but thought would try another forum for a wee change.

I live in Sunny Scotland so weather not an issue for our camping trips, our tent is ok and has served us well for a starter (its a Coleman Wyoming) and we have pimped it up a bit, with our Quecha tarp & OR Utility tent and the georgia carpet is a perfect fit! lol! ....... but in my dreams of dreams I would love a top of the range outwell with the car & trailer to match to get it all to site! lol!

Got my eye on a Vango Amazon at the moment but oh just been made redundant so got to make do with what we have for now!!

Hi Cocoloco and welcome from me.

Sorry to hear you have been made unemployed, I'm sure when your camping it all seems a million miles away.

Sounds like your really getting into it, I think a lot of us are the same as you, by pimping the pitch up :D .
It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

Hi welcome to the forum, glad you joined.

Vango amazon, nice tent. was looking around one at the outdoor show this year. Some of the vango models come with a DVD showing how to pitch which is great.. somthing i think other manufactures should look at. I know outwell post videos on their site but for some the internet is not an option. with the DVD you reach nearly everyone being that DVD players are so common in households now.

Anyway welcome again and enjoy
