The Camping Forum 2010 Campout

Postby Rob-merlin1973 on Fri Sep 04, 2009 10:30 am

Hi all
While blabbing away on another topic the idea popped up that maybe we should all get together for a long weekend next year to provide our wealth of knowlege to those of us who are new campers, and to have a good get together and share a few beers around the campfire. I think i would be a good idea to have it on a bank holiday time so we would be looking to book well in advance so......

We would need ideas on where to camp (central to all those interested), when, and obviously we would need to know who would be interested. :)

I'm in Wolverhampton, west midlands.
I will map plot all locations and when we have all interest in i will try to centralise an area.

I would imagine around january we should have some ideas to work with.

I am up for that and I think Milton Keynes sounds like a good idea. I hope you are talking about the first Bank Holiday weekend as I have already planned my camping for the end of May

At the moment, we need to wait and see who will be interested and then work out most ideal location.

As were going out of season things have been very quiet, so hoping as we move into next years season, get some new signups and more interest and take it from that :)

Out of interest, have you camped in any of the london campsites that are abvailable, interested in doing an inner city camp and london is clearly best the choice.

Hi all
It would be great for us to all get together for a weekend.

We are most likely going to go for a weekend in September.
If all interested can reply here and tell me where you live then we will plot you on a map and try to pick an area central to and within travelling distance to all.

My wife and I might be interested in this, depending on location and the date.

We're in the West Midlands but Wales, Peak District, Lake District are all fairly accessible.

I could definitely be up for that. I live in the West Midlands, so am central to pretty much anywhere. :D
