Big Holiday parks and Quality?

Postby Admin on Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:18 am

We popped into to Billing Aquadrome in Northants yesterday as Burcroft Camping are located on the grounds now. So we had a little wonder round whilst we was in :)

So was thinking I may bring the kids up for the weekend with so much on offer. Fishing, Fun Fair, Golf, Climbing Wall, Go Karts etc. etc. But during the visit one of the boys needed a toilet so we left the park and decided to walk over to the camping field and check out the toilet blocks. So glad we did. certainly will not coming for the weekend. First thing the Smell on the Gents when you walked in was just shocking. Then you had to navigate the pools (yes pools) of water to get to the urinals at which the point the smell is even stronger. I suspect the yellowing on the tiles down this end is from...... well i will leave that to you..

Its a real shame that a park as large and established as this can get it so wrong.. I wish i had thought to take some photos.. or prehaps not lol. even the wall outside the block was half knocked down.

Note: i only checked the one block.. but looking at the issues and state of repair i can see no reason why the other blocks would be ok?

Dear oh dear, that's campsites 101 - make sure the toilets are clean.

It's the first thing anyone mentions about any campsite.

Exactly, if someone is going to complain about a campsite. its usually the toilets. as thats one of the most important things. no one wants to be holding their nose or watching their step! Especially if they are toilet and wash room in one.
