My new trailer

Postby Huff on Mon Jul 25, 2011 1:59 pm

Just picked up this little beauty on Saturday morning and put it straight to work as some friends of ours wanted to borrow our large BBQ for a party. Really pleased with it and will be testing it out properly with our camping trip to the Bull 'i'th Thorn this coming weekend.

Doubly pleased as I was outbid on it on ebay just over a week ago and was very disappointed to miss out but then out of the blue the seller rang me up and said that the winning bidder had failed to pay for it and if I still wanted it I could have it. Bonus!

The added height is really useful and having a proper rear door makes it a doddle to load. Being a hard top there are no covers to mess about with either.

That looks like a good big trailer, nice one

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Well as you well know it doesnt matter how much space you have you just collect more stuff to fill it! I think the photos make it look slightly bigger than it really is but its a good usable size. Its big enough to take 3 bikes without any messing which is a plus and as I proved last weekend it swallows our giant BBQ with ease, not that I really want to transport it anywhere again - there were issues fitting it into the lift at our friends flat!

New trailer performed admirably on its maiden camping trip last weekend. Swallowed all our gear with ease - there was nothing in the car at all! Proved a doddle to tow even when fully laden and served as an excellent, secure dumping ground whilst on site for all the gubbins that usually just clutters up the tent.

The only mod I need to make is to rig up a light inside.

I've noticed on ebay that box trailers like mine seem to be going for less money then open top ones, possibly because they are more difficult to store I suppose.

I think what im also going to do is rig up a cargo net in the roof to make a loft space for shoes and coats etc.
