New pegs for Vango Tigris 400 dlx

Postby janeypoos on Sun Sep 05, 2010 9:43 am

Can anyone tell me how many pegs I'll need for the footprint, tent and guy ropes and which types will be best for each please?

Going by the reviews I've read so far I know that the pegs supplied with the tent will be next to useless so I thought I'd best go get some today so I'm ready for when the tent arrives.

My pegs having been alright with my Tigris 400. There are 2 different kinds included with the tent.
Happiness is packing your tent away dry & getting it back in the bag :-)

I bought 12 rock pegs, 12 plastic pegs and 4 footprint pegs, I'll use the pegs that come with the tent for everything else. Should have bought a peg bag though!

I think you will have enough pegs there. I have 20 rock pegs and was thinking of getting 10 more, so you might want to add a few more in time.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

I don't think we have any rock pegs, we have the plastic pegs that come with the tent and we bought some metal ones, they seem to work ok, but am hoping hubbie is going come back with much more knowledge after the campout

To be honest I don't actually know when we are going to get the chance to use the tent this side of next year so I think I'll just grab a few more pegs whenever we are passing the shop on our way to Mersea as you can never have enough, lol!
I bet you'll all have a blast at the Campout, wish it wasn't so far away for me as I'm sure if I could go I'd learn more about tents/equipment/camping than I'd ever need to know. I hope you all come back and share more tips/advice. :)
