Vango Amazon 600

Postby Nunfa1 on Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:32 am

Having browsed every camping site and shop I can and the OH getting fed up with my research I think this might be the tent for us, well me anyway.
It will be our first tent and we are planning week long holidays and weekends with our 2 children of 3 and 5. Do you think this would be ok or is it too big too soon?
Any advice most welcome.

Thanks.

The amazon 600 is a lot of tent but i would say it is ideal, plenty of room and an awning to cook under.

Another option would be the Corado 6 which our friend Freckle has and it is a very nice strong spaciouse tent

Thanks for the alternative, slightly smaller pack size which might be good, but a bit dearer than the Amazon.

It is a bit dearer but i have looked at them both and think the quality of the corado is a bit better.

Go have a look at Go Outdoors :bigwink:

Had a quick look yesterday and the Amazon is big without a doubt. We certainly like the idea of the built in canopy. It seems the separate bedrooms a must in a 4 + 2 arrangement as the OH thinks her parents will join us at some stage.
Then I found this:

Does anyone know anything about Kampa? It seems like a good deal, the living space is slightly bigger than the Amazon but the canopy is smaller.
