Afternoon Campers

Postby Welsh_baron on Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:20 pm

Hello all,

Just want to say hello and to let you all know you have another first timer here!!

Bought a tent end of last week waiting for it to be delivered, it’s a Vango Monte Verde 900 has anyone got any experience with these tents?

We bought it as there are two adults and 4 children and we needed the extra space, the front porch is what really appeals to us. Can take off our shoes before stepping into the lounge

Being first timers we are not looking to head far we are based in South Wales close to Swansea and if anyone has any good sites they can recommend for our first time it would be really appreciated, as long as the toilets are clean etc we will be happy.

Looking forward to chatting to you all and making new friends
:D :D :D :D :D

Hi,
We went on holiday to South Wales a few times when we were little, my brother also went to SwanseaUni. There is a lovely site at Freshwater East, right on the beach. I havn't been there for 20+ years, but know it is till there, but obviously can't say if it's till lovely .

It's a CC site, so can't get any pictures, but if you google Freshwater East, some reviews come up. :)
Happiness is packing your tent away dry & getting it back in the bag :-)

Hi Welcome to the forum :D

I have to agree with andy about fforest fields.
It is a stunning site with EHU and non EHU pitches and views to die for, the facility's are clean and well looked after and it would be great for a first timer.

Another good one is Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park
This is a nice small cheap site, again with stunning views and walks and really good facilities.
Let us know how you get on :D
