Hi Darren welcome to the Forum.

Most stoves can use any type of gas, what you need to ensure is that you have the right regulator for the gas bottle as they differ.

HiGear is GoOutdoors own brand, will get in touch with them and see if they can be more enlightening.

According to GoOutdoors:

(13:13:21) @GOoutdoors:@in_a_tent In answer to your question, providing they have the correct regulator then patio gas can be used no problem

Hello Darren and a warm welcome to the site.

Just to further add, there are basically 2 types of bottled gas Butane and Propane, whilst they are different gases you would never really notice a great difference. You get a little more heat out of Butane and so Kg for Kg it lasts a little longer, and I think its generally cheaper. Patio Gas is just a fancy word for an expensive bottle of Propane gas, usually they are green but have the handles red to indicate Propane.

Whilst its not guaranteed, the following is usually true
Propane is generally stored in Red tanks
Butane is generally stored in blue tanks

To answer your question you can use Butane / Propane / Patio Gas with the correct regulator. To make sure you have the correct regulator visit your local gas stockist and explain you need a regulator to fit your bottle and equipment.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

If you do buy the Elite Double Burner and Grill Darren then all of our stores (witht he exception of Hathersage) stock Gas bottles and gas refills. If you ask a member of staff they should be able to offer you some help on the right kind of regulator that you would need.
