Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

I will be the newbie to camping that asks the dumb questions.... :D

Campout/Meets.....I think I understand the point of them.....another reason to go camping and have a few beers, tell a few stories, admire or laugh at other set ups!!!!

But if you dont know anyone whose going, how do you get to meet up.....is it a 7 O'clock in the back room of the pub? Or aroound the campfire outside the Idaho with the X5 parked outside..... :D

Just wondered how you got to meet others from the forum at the venue......

You could post pictures of yourselves with your tents Or just do what some of us did last year and wander around asking other campers if they are with The Camping Forum group :D
We also had our forum username tied to our guylines.

I'll be the one hanging around peoples toilet tents, it would seem

Actually, we was all wondering that, but your idea, 7 in the back room of the pub sounds fine :D

It is all down to which area we get.

If we get the rally field then we will all be together so it should not be a problem to say hi.

If we get the main field then we will post a pic on here showing all the numbered pitches and a list of who has what pitch. :D

If you have a toilet tent then you can pitch away from Wayne the lurker

The caravan with the green awning is on pitched about 74 or 76 (area

Here's one

Image

If you can make out the ducks then that's about pitch 73
The blackish in the foreground is a bit of hardstanding rubble to help get a grip and the black behind the ducks is one of the 'main' roads

you are all roughly in this area where the ducks are and to the left and a bit up :D

Hope that helps a bit
