:| , I was gonna follow your lead. This just got like a theory exam  :D

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

 I was going to go to your tent and have a nice cuppa with your wife whilst I left you and my other half putting the tent up, i think that sounds much more reasonable

such a shame I've joined the forum so late otherwise I would have loved to have been at the campout with all of you. I am already booked for a girls night out weekend of 10th September with the non-camper and 2 caravanners  I just wonder now how much more exciting the camping will be over a night of drunken dancing in the 80s bar

are you planning one for 2011?

It sounds interesting, sadly I'm away camping early september as it is (if my leg heals - had an accident recently).
Transport is also a pain...maybe another time if I get to know people on here :)
I do not suffer from insanity...I enjoy every minute of it.

only 3 weeks to go for your Campout now - 4 weeks for mine :D

#Hope you enjoy it as much as we did last year - it was strange meeting people for the frist time that you had 'spoken' to so often on the net - People of accents!!

Have you seen the FB pages for the site - and Dave's pictures of the unfortunate event the other week?

Come and join our CAMPOUT

There are many new members on here and i wanted to invite them to our campout, we are not a scary bunch :bigwink: and have never met each other so all of us will be in the same situation.

Friday night is BBQ night weather permitting, and there should be enough space between pitches 76,78 and 80 for us all to sit down and observe Waynes BBQing skills (i want to see all those bright coloured bucket barbies on the go)

Andy has got some Chinese lanterns for the little ones to let off and i will be getting some glowy bangly things for em so we need to know how many children will be coming. :D

On the saturday i am going to be doing a bit of fishing (haven't been this year yet), i will be bringing a couple of small rods so if any of the kids want a go i will set them up and they can have a go.

The Campout meet is at Pillaton Hall Farm on the weekend of September the 10th and all are welcome to join us for the weekend.

It will be a laugh and will give Wayne a chance to nosey through all your gear :D it also allows us to chat and share ideas and experiences.

If you are interested then pick a pitch number off the map then contact Pillaton Hall Farm to book a pitch and then drop a post on here with your pitch number and i will add you to the map.

Hope to see you all soon :D

It's a very kind offer but one I must decline this year, our complete lack of any camping equipment being the main reason. If we do decide to jump in then maybe next year. From reading the posts on here you all seem a nice bunch so I'm sure you'll all have a fab time.
Hope the weather is good for you.

Seeing as we are creeping ever closer to campout I was wondering what the plan is for the BBQ on Friday night. I gather that we are all getting together between two tents and bringing our own BBQ's. Are we BBQing our own food and eating, or are we all bringing food and BBQing and sharing ?

Mmmmm good question :bigwink:

It may be better to do your own and just have a communal table for salad, crisps stuff like that..... just share the ambiance..... not sure really what does every one else think :?:

Well I think doing our own is probably best (although was hoping Wayne was doing it all!). Why don't we do as you say. All BBQ our own meat etc and then every family make a large dish of something i.e. pasta salad, coleslaw etc?
