Hi,
If you can't afford the footprint at the moment, just buy a tarp from B & Q , that is what we done for our large tent, we needed 2 & it saved loads of money & worked just as well. In fact for our really small tent, we used bin bags , it just saves all the hassle of mud on the tent. :)
Happiness is packing your tent away dry & getting it back in the bag :-)

We used bin bags for one of our earlier tents, but only to put it in when the wind killed it :o

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Oh no!!! :o :o
i bet it would have been a really good one as well.

It breaks my heart when you see them on eBay having suffered becuase the owners just haven't loved them enough to treat them right - I'm realy meaning the canvas ones htat have been left to go mouldy and have holes in them.
It's much better to find one that has been taken good care of and the owner really has no idea of what they have  (eBay bargains)

My genuine Vermont footprint turned up today, I notice that whilst it comes with pegs for fixing down it does not come with a bag :( , thought they would have run to a bag for it, not like the usual standards of Outwell.

Yeah, they just come in a plastic bag with the card top.

Supermarket bags for life - I use them for everything :D

The Aldi ones are especially good for wellies and waterproofs and another one for the assortment of shoes a teenage girl NEEDS when camping (though where she's going in the 3inch heels I don't know)

3" Down into the wet grass at this time of year

I tend to use Blue Ikea bags as well for a lot of stuff, also got a really cool Decathlon bag in the shape of a bike wheel that might be perfect for the footprint :D

The only good thing about the layout is that they use the same one in every store! so if you do go to another.. you are sure to get lost in the same places
