We also have the coastline 6 - but not as impressed as we have to use that extra sleeping pod. However, they do a coastline 4. It is the same as the 6 layout without the extra pod and slightly more manageable in size. The good thing is that the coastline porch extension fit as they do on the coastline 6, and just zip onto the main tent for a bit more outdoor living space (and you can get a tent carpet for a bit more warmth and comfort).

If you want a 4 berth 2 bed Coleman then the Lakeside 4 is similar to the Coastline 4 if you prefer a 'cabin' style, or can go for the top range with the Coleman mckenzie cabin, or the Coleman fremont 4 that comes complete with an enclosed porch and side entrance.

The ability to separate the front porch could give you the option of starting small and add on for subsequent trips.
I'm thinking of upgrading to the fremont 6 as it has a better layout and that add-on living area is great for when it's a bit wet.

Lots indoors, but not many large ones set up outside, that's a shame, but lots of other great stuff to look at.

There are likely to be many more tents to drool over at the Camping show in London next month:

http://www.motorhomecaravanandcamping.co.uk/

I won tickets to go, and am deliberating which day out of 14th or 15th Feb to go, as I'm getting cheap train tickets from Brum to London (£5 single)

See this thread as others may be doing the show at same time:

Hiya! We have the coastliner 4. We bought it as a weekender for me and the OH. To be honest I love it for the two of us but if as you say sometimes there may be 4 of you then I would question the space. Especially if you're stuck in on a rainy day with 2 kids. I would probably go for the 6 and cover all bases from the start.

Well, after much deliberation, I'm leaning towards the Gelert horizon 6. But it'll be about 3 or 4 weeks till I buy, so may change my mind again :-?

Ok, i've narrowed it down to three

1. Gelert Beyond Meridian 6
2. Vango Icarus 600
3. Gelert Horizon 6

any good / bad points on these 3?

We just purchsed the Starview 5 by Gelert. its a good size 5 man tent with plenty of head room. Im 6'3 and have no problems with the height. We got the canopy and carpet all for £300 package deal from Aspinalls.
