Thankyou Yeomans

Postby vector9 on Wed Nov 09, 2011 1:18 pm

Got to say the Yeomans boys (and girls) were great down at Byrkley yesterday were top notch. It felt like i had a personal shopper with me even though they were serving and chatting to other customers at the same time. Got everything i needed for my lads Duke of Edinborough Award.

Will be back soon to spend more money.

What did you have to buy? We only had to buy a gas canister, the school paid for the rest.

Wow. The school bought everything? Which school is that? It cost me a fortune for my daughters stuff. I had to buy everything including the tent! :o

I think it's a joint venture with a group of schools in Medway, they share all the gear. 60 girls from my daughters school completed the Bronze award this year (was only 5 of us when i done it), i think it's something they really encourage the girls to take part in. It's just a shame that they are being pushed so hard to take their gcse's early that she won't have time to go on to do her Silver.

Hi vector9 and welcome to the forum.

I think some of the guys are suspicious that you may work for Yeomans and therefore your post would come across as spamming. If you were genuinely impressed with Yeomans, then cool and feel free to protest your innocence.

If on the other hand you do work for Yeomans then feel free to come forward and own up and we will appreciate your advice and if you feel you can stand by your statement of how good your customer service is then dare anyone to prove it wrong. We wont ban you for trying a bit of free advertising, we just ask for honesty

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Looking at the threads, it would seem Yeomans have a reasonable balance of good & bad threads, which isn't great. I know you can't please all of the people all of the time, but a great company would have the scales tipped on the side of good reviews, surely?

I myself have never used them, well, not that I'm aware of anyway. So I can only comment on what I see here.

My problem with camping shops is the distinct lack of one in my area! :( (well, a decent one anyway. I'm sure there's a millets in Eastbourne (enough said) & I know there is a supposed army surplus shop in my town, which no longer sells much army surplus, it's just become an over priced shooting & fishing store with a few camping bits). Wish I had the money to open one up myself.

OK having checked a few things this is where we are at

Vector9 posts from the same IP address as Nigelblack25 (now deleted)) and also Fantoon28 (now deleted) (which incidentally was registered from Yeomans server).

Vector9, i respect you wish to champion your store, but you don't need to do it by spamming, we welcome Yeomans to the site. Please come talk to use

 Blimey Wayne you're getting to be more of a detective than I am... :rofl2:
(Well you have the means to that I didn't)

It's over to Yeomans to come clean eh? Not very clever going about advertising in this manner in my opinion, all the more reason for me not to bother with them I'm afraid....

I do work for yeomans (im only saturday staff) and these are my opinions not those of the company etc (you know the rest)
I notice you say "they" when referring to this post but we have never had instructions to big our selfs up on forums etc, its just one person who i assume decided that it may help his/her store. Its a shame that they have done this as it doesn't show trustworthiness as you have mentioned in one of your comments (this is practicably what crazycamper said, sorry if you didn't mean it like this) but they are an individual, not the entire company, we've all made stupid mistakes in the past!!! :P
Its a shame that this has happened
Sorry on their behalf and I hope that you all have possitive interactions int he future :)
