dizzylisa - the problem is most manufacturers dont publish sizes. It took quite a while to track down all the sizes on there (and resolve the disagreements where two or more sizes were available). Royal and Regatta do not seem to publish dimensions under any circumstances (if anyone knows better let me know please) so they are not on the list

the table is meant for people who know what size they need - and generally thats easy as you just have to measure your tent or come across a cheap carpet in a sale and wonder if it might be useful

Hey thanks for the info now I understand. The only thing is that you recommend Meridian 8 Carpet, I have looked around and is the 8 for 8 berth? My tent is only a 4?

I was going by the size of the living area that you quoted.
Are you including the sleeping area in your dimensions?

The Regatta is a single room tent, but the other one listed will be a multi room tent. The carpet in this case will just be for the living area.
TBH I wouldn't even bother with a carpet, they're totally unnecessary. I've never used one in my life, & would only really consider it in the depths of winter.
Also, the regatta doesn't have standing height, so I doubt you'll be spending much time in there really. Carpets are really intended for tents you can walk around in, & are a pretty modern thing (none of this in my day  ).

If you really do require some comfort, I would recommend you just get yourself a couple of the cheaper plastic backed picnic rugs & space them as you see fit. Or some cheapo floor rugs from somewhere like Ikea, plenty of people use these.
Most tents don't have carpet in the whole tent anyway, as it's a bit of a waste under beds etc.

At least picnic rugs can be used for other purposes & in other tents. Far better solution IMO.
4 Canvas tents (various sizes)
3 Plastic tents (various sizes)
& 1 Tin tent (yes, I'm a turn-coat, but it has a canvas awning)

Agreed, carpets usually just cover the living area and don't go under the bedrooms, with the exclusions of optional bedroom layouts. For example on the Tig 8 I think the carpet goes under the sleep pods that can be removed to use the end door.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...
