second tent

Postby Colette on Thu Jun 30, 2011 2:40 pm

instead of finding sites that allow pup tents we have decided to get another smallish large tent as we are a large family with myself, then our kids - so birth; step and foster kids ageing 20; 18; 18; 16; 15; 14 - and always subject to change as foster kids numbers always changing (and it is preferrred that foster kids don't share a bedroom-

we are thinking of the outwell hartford L (second hand from ebay which has an extension as well  ) - giving us an extra 2 bedrooms - and obviously we'll need 2 pitches, but that will just us a bit more space :D

any views on a good price to offer on ebay tent and extension? - or ideas about a possibly better idea for our second tent?

I have the hartford xxl with canopy and they are fantastic tents
This will give you 2 extra bedrooms and a good sized communial area for when the weather turns bad.
There is one for sale http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/hartford-l-outwell-tent-/300570194869?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_HikingCamping_Tents_JN&hash=item45fb6133b5 It is the older version (don't get the very old dark green one) that pitches inner first and fly over the top but it is a really good tent and if you can get it and the canopy for under £200 it will be a good deal

Good purchase, well done

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

With that lot in tow you need a medal! Never mind an extra tent!

Well done on your purchase, you can't beat having that extra space when camping, especially with all those older kids (teenagers need their space  ).

Good luck with it all, hope you enjoy your holiday.
