bought this tent the other week and camped in it over the last two days. Good points are the tent is really roomy and is great for me the wife and two rugrats plus two poodles it was very easy to dismantle and easily fitted back in the bag. Bad points the instructions are next to useless we were told that it would take one hour tops to erect for the first time complete cods wallop it took three hours of following the instructions to erect it possibly now it will take about 45 minutes to erect in the future but be warned the first time putting it up is a complete nightmare.

Glad you like it. As I mentioned in your "Hello" thread I think that you will also find it to be more stable than a tunnel tent in the wind. I'm glad you got it at the "sale" price.

For me the only let-down of it is that there isn't a dedicated canopy over the front door for it. That would have been useful in the rain.

The rock 5 canopy fits a dream on the Gobi, after a lot of comparing sizes I got it, allegedly the zenobia enclosed porch fits it as well, but it is a few cm narrower so not sure how it would look. Im keeping an eye open for these in the sale as I picked up the canopy for 30 pounds last week, the enclosed porch would be brilliant for us as well!

Hello! i was wondering if anyone has the same problem with this tent ? we bought it a few months ago and have used it twice.Should it condensate so much that it leaves 'puddles' inside the tent ? There was no leaks in it , the puddles appeared under neath the sleeping compartment and around the edges when we went to pack the tent up .Apart from this problem, it is a really great tent and it catered for our needs perfectly . :|

It should not be too bad

Make sure any vents are open and put insulation between your beds and the floor ...this may help ..... you could also try not breathing ... but this is extreme camping

We bought a Hi Gear Gobi 4 a few months back, and unforunately it started leaking on the front door as the flap on the front doesn't fully cover the bottom part of the zip. We took it back to Go Outdoors who were great and issued us with a full refund (there were quite a few Gobi's returned that day by the look of it, so it must have been a dodgy batch!).

We have now bought a Outwell Virginia 5 tent, and we love it and it is only a bit more expensive than the Gobi. The build quality is just far superior to that of the Hi Gear.
