Camping shop?

Postby Tenderoni on Tue Jan 31, 2012 10:08 pm

Hi, can anyone recommend a decent camping shop in shropshire? I went to go outdoors in Wolves last weekend and loved it in there but wondered if there were any others to visit?

Cheers

Not a dedicated camping shop but we pick up a lot of stuff from Charlie's in Shrewsbury. We also go out to their bigger shop just outside welsh pool. Watch out for their camping shows there as they get Gelert (also based in wales) with some very good deals.

Cheers gav, I know the welshpool one very well, I used to live very close to it and my ex still does. Will pop in there this weekend when I pick the kids up

I would think that many retailers would be like Go Outdoors and not have many tents on display at this time of year to be honest.... that's why I made reference to the show coming up in London. I realise it involves a bit of travel expenditure but right now it would seem the only logical place to see tents up inside the comfort of indoors to make comparisons and give food for thought?

How long would it take you to get down to Gloucester ?
Attwools have all thier tents indoors.
I don't know how many they have up this time of year.
Maybe give them a ring?

Gloucester is less than 90 mins away, so could be worth a trip.

Where in Shropshire are you, I live in Shropshire too but close to the Staffordshire border, there is a massive, and I mean massive Go Outdoors in Hanley. It used to be an old Tesco

It is huge !!!!!
