Now we have got a winterized caravan we have ordered a winter awning.most awning will withstand the cold and rain of winter but snow and storm force winds are a different kettle of fish. Plus the winter pack that is two more roof poles and 3 uprights and also a roof lining to catch condensation. I also have an additional three clipped storm poles to add to the roof poles across the center of the roof in-case of deep snow forecast. 6" of snow on a standard awning would probably bend or brake the poles.
Also It is no good using a good winter awning if you can not secure it to the hard standing (as the big bad wolf said I will huff and puff and blow your awning down)
