Securing my winter awning with delta pegs

Postby rexgrant on Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:22 pm

Hi all
Now we have got a winterized caravan we have ordered a winter awning.most awning will withstand the cold and rain of winter but snow and storm force winds are a different kettle of fish. So we decided to get an awning that will stand up to the snow and storms of winter this is what we have ordered http://www.highbridgecaravans.co.uk/new ... php?AN=504
Plus the winter pack that is two more roof poles and 3 uprights and also a roof lining to catch condensation. I also have an additional three clipped storm poles to add to the roof poles across the center of the roof in-case of deep snow forecast. 6" of snow on a standard awning would probably bend or brake the poles.
Also It is no good using a good winter awning if you can not secure it to the hard standing (as the big bad wolf said I will huff and puff and blow your awning down) :rofl2: :tune: So I have just received my new Stainless steel Delta Rocks from (The delta ground anchor company) Two years ago I was one of Robs testers for this product that is the reason I can buy the delta rocks with complete confidence that with my choice of rock peg to use with them will stop the Big bad wolf :tune: from blowing my awning down this winter this was the first post showing the delta rocks http://.........../apps/photos/ph ... d=70242999
Here you can see the Prototype on test http://.........../apps/photos/ph ... d=24982432

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...
