Well, today I went ahead & ordered the outbound one from ebay for £44.99. I will be using it this weekend (i will also try & get some use out of my backpackers oven) so I can give a full review next week.

On my travels I went into Argos, where I found a similar unit (minus the small fold-up side worktop & munus the windshield), I think it was £49.99.
I also popped into "The Range", blimey, what a shop, I loved it! They had an almost identical unit, all that was missing was the windshield, & it was only £49.99! I almost went for it, as the extra fiver is worth it just to have the item in your hands.
But the windshield swung it for me. I met a lovely lady in their, who had given up solo camping due to ill health & age. She spoke for some time & persuaded me a windshield was a good idea, especially in a newly acquired Cabanon canvas tent.

I'll keep you all posted. This looks like an extremely good piece of equipment for the money, especially if the similar one in The Range is anything to go by.

It turned up today!

What a fantastic piece of kit. Very well made, & the windshield slots in properly, not on sucker-pads like some do,

I'm extremely impressed for the money. The canvas cupboard is very sturdy as well, with clips & velcro straps to support it.

I've taken plenty of pics & will be using it tomorrow, for the weekend. Review will be forthcoming, as will the review for my backpackers, stove-top, oven.

Anyway, must get my beauty sleep, got lots to do tomorrow. It's my first camping trip in over 2 months, & I'm trying out lots of new kit!

:D :D :D

And here it is,

What a piece of kit!

I'm now even more certain these are all put together in the same factory, or at least the main manufacturing is done the same for ALL the ones I've looked at. The only difference with this one is that it comes with the wind shield, which slots in, like it's meant to be there, rather than some, which seem to be more of an afterthought.

You're certainly paying for the name with brands such as Royal, gotta be getting on for double the money, & they ARE exactly the same! (apart from the wind shield, I think) I've seen them in the flesh, all different brands, even Kampa, all look to be the same basic unit with a few minor differences.

Welcome to the forum magi11, thanks for your comments.

I recently worked in a cafe, some of that equipment I would have killed for. My boss didn't like to spend money!

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Looks like you have got a good kitchen there, I have the Kampa Commander field Kitchen and it looks quite similar to that. Easy to put up take down and plenty of space by the looks.
