Which sleeping bag?

Postby Curlyminx on Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:07 pm

Am toying with the idea of a Gelert sleep pod XL 3 season, but also tempted by the lovely Suncamp 600g too. Anybody tried them both? OH is keen on the pod, I'm not that sure. :|

My OH borrowed her sister's Gelert Pod and loved it, she wants her own now.

Which sleeping bag?

Postby Curlyminx on Sat May 07, 2011 3:55 pm

Well we went with (like the suncamp ones I was looking for) in the end, as that is all they had in stock when we needed them, very warm. I unzipped mine and used it as a quilt and was still toasty warm. Success!

We also put the carpet from our mountain road (is that what the outwell camper van canopy thing is called?) under the bedroom in our Monty 6, there's about a foot gap either side of it, but it really made a difference to how warm we were I'd say. Even him indoors was warm and he always feels the cold. :-)

Thanks again for all your help and advice. :-)

By the way, I think we'll try some pods if we ever see them, as I feel really restricted in normal sleeping bags.

Sounds like its all coming good for you

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Which sleeping bag?

I want a weather remote! Also, a husband who doesn't close all the air vents on the tent - I have a proper stuffy head this morning. Packing up now, tent is sopping. Ah well, kitchen full of tent when we get home.
