Heat & light

Postby beadmum on Tue Aug 31, 2010 7:19 am

I'm after picking your brains again.
Now I have the tent I need to accessorize! :D
I've read one of merlin1973 earlier post on lighting which was really useful, thank you. Really like those strip lights but Yeomans are out of stock. Hope they get some more in unless anyone knows of another supplier.
Any recommendations on a heater, something to take the chill off? Electric if possible.
Thank you.

With the heater there are 2 routes to take.

We use a Halogen heaterHalogen heater most of the time becouse it has good heat output and is quite safe, the only downfall with this heater is that it is so bright you can not leave it on while sleeping.

We also have invested in a Fan heater which is great for leaving on at night but do not go above 2kw as it may trip your EHU.

Hope this helps :D

We use one of these, best of both worlds, heat and very bright light. :D

If you're not doing it outdoors, it's not worth doing!

We use the small fan heater set on 1kw and leave it on all night on the thermostat really low, this is a reasonable one from Screwfix or this one from Argos

As for lighting.

We use cabinet strip lights......................

give us plenty of light for about 16w. available from Screwfix

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...
