It just seems to last a lot longer, that's all I can say. The stove seems to be ok, it's when you attach the lantern or the heater, it doesn't last long at all, when you consider your getting about 4 or 5 nights if your lucky with a 100w lantern - and it's roughly £15 a refill then its starts getting expensive for something as simple as a light. As I have mentioned before, I don't use it at all now.

No it simply holds more gas. you get 2.7kg of gas in a camping gaz canister where as you get 4.5kg in a calor gas

No competition then really, as you said with calor gas you get twice as much gas - and it's roughly the same price.
