Hi welcome to the forum,
The only electric hob's i recall are the old metal ring type as below. the issue with these is they retain the heat for a long time. which when camping you dont really want due to the safety risk.

However i did do some searching.

Although i would think it would retain the heat for a while. i dobt it would be the same as the old metal ring system that when anything touches it would just ignite straight away. even when cooling down. You would still have to be very carefull with it though.
