Hello campers

Postby TheGoodNorth on Wed Aug 11, 2010 7:32 pm

Hello!

I did a bit of camping when I was younger with my parents and quite often stayed in the super tents in France as well.

However me and the Mrs bought our first tent last year. Not sure on the exact model but its a Eurohike 6 man effort that we chose after a bit of research into what we wanted (ie room to stand, room to live and didnt cost the earth)

Have to say we love our tent and have taken our 8 year old daughter away in it a few times, though not as much as we'd like!! But then we'd all like to get away more often wouldn't we?

Our next trip is over August bank holiday and we can't wait. This forum looks like a good place to get and share camping tips so I look forward to getting to know you!!!

Welcome aboard :-)

I think we all would like to get away more, we've been 6 times this year (twice as many as the 3 we managed last year) but we're still contemplating another trip.

It gets into your blood I think that itch to get away, sit out in the evening and just relax.

Hello Goodnorth and a warm welcome to the forum.

It is a good place here and addictive, look forward to chatting

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Hi in-a-tent and wayne.

I guess if you enjoy being outdoors then a trip away will always seem appealing!

Have to say I'm really looking forward to getting away for the Bank Holiday....I need a break!!!

Thanks to in-a-tent's website I managed to find the model of tent I have.

It's the Eurohike Buckingham 6 - and although it was a budget tent we absolutely love it and it ticks all the boxes we need it to at this stage in our camping lives!!

Maybe in the future when we have a bit more cash we'll get something a bit more fancy!

Here is a link to it:
