I am totally confused! do I or don't I make the switch?

Postby darren on Fri Jul 30, 2010 7:28 pm

After a few problems with our air bed (mainly loss of air in the bed) I have just been eyeing up the Dozer self inflating airbeds found here http://www.alpkit.com/sleeping-mats/, the only problem stopping me from buying them is that my wife and I like to cuddle in bed and do not want to be seperated by individual mats. Is there anyway of joing them ? Does anyone have any experience of these mats?

Also the same company are doing a deal here http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16546&category_id=253 I am completely confused now? the reviews are stonking for these air mats but I just don;t know what to do?

Advice would be greatly received here :?:

We've got Fat Airics which are the predecessor of the Dozers and they are BRILLIANT!

To join them together you can get connectors, therm-a-rest here http://www.cascadedesigns.com/therm-a-r ... it/product they are just a figure of 8 strap that you could prob. make from a webbing strap.

We had this problem the first time we used our mats but it was solved by using a fitted bed sheet which held them together nicely. Also looks rather glam 8-) :D

We have a double SIM, but we did fit a fitted sheet over it this time and liked it. We plan to put a few stitches in the fitted sheet to make it a tighter fit

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Fat Airics do tend to slip about and we use a travel rug underneath and fleeces on top to stop the sleeping bags edging off. Great airbeds! Perfect insulation and comfort = good night's sleep :-)
