Triango Baladin 5 Man

Postby D1gger on Wed Jul 28, 2010 3:16 pm

Hello i'm new to the forum and I am just getting back into camping - young nephews hounding us to bring them. It's been a long time and I intend buying a good new tent for my own use at some point (already seen great advice on here..thanks). The long and short of it is my brother will just hit B&Q or halfords for a cheap and nasty job to get him over a weekend while I am looking around to find him a quality 2nd hand. I've come across a 2nd hand Triango Baladin for 100 and was hoping to get some advice on this from the experts.

hi,

welcome to the forum, i cannot say i am massively familiar with trigano as we have never stocked them. However there is loads of good stuff about them online and i have not heard any bad press about the brand within the industry. I quickly googled that baladin and it looks like a frame tent which will be a good solid piece of kit for £100. Its RRP is £500

As for b&q and halfords i am not too familiar with the quality of their products so i wouldnt want to say anything against it. Just remember you get what you pay for ! Anyway good luck on your search.

Might be worth asking the member 'in-a-tent' he has a trigano on his avatar

We have a trigano trailer tent and I have to say it's really well made, the canvas is very good quality, the stitching is good and despite it being 6 years old it's not showing any signs of wear.

We've been in the middle of a huge and long thunderstorm in it and it didn't show any signs even contemplating leaking. We love it, it's a great piece of kit. If the tents are made to the same high standard I think you've found a bargain.

One thing to be aware of is that you won't look the most trendy of campers (it's a bit like being in a time warp having a canvas tent) but you may well be the most comfortable.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...
