Got one!

Postby uptonfamily on Sat Mar 06, 2010 2:27 pm

Well, we went back to GoOutdoors this morning to look at the Maritsa 700 again.

They have a price match on it and we had found it £5 cheaper online. We ended up getting it (it's flipping MASSIVE!) and got the £5 plus an extra 10%!! Bet they are ringing round all their shops now dropping the price by £5!!

A bit gutted that it's raining so we can't really get out in the garden and put it up! It will just about fit in the back garden with a bit of a squeeze so the first sign of a dry day and we'll be out there!

Thank you all for all your advise over the last few weeks. You have helped tremendously with the decision making.

We'll be off to get the footprint before we head off to the first campsite of the year too.

lol!

We need to find space to have a go with it before we head off for the first trip.

We think it will just about squeeze into the back garden ...

We're hardcore we (or more precisely I) pitched ours for the first time on a packed campsite on a bank holiday friday evening.

When we arrived there was another set of first time pitchers there too. They were on possible pole combination no. 3 when we arrived it seemed, by the time we got ours up they were on combination no. 7 or 8. So glad we have a really simple tunnel tent, huge but simple :-)

The line is.
If the tent went up ok .... It's brave :D
If it was a total disaster and was embarrasing .... then it could be called stupid.
