On first glances, I would like a much closer look at the Louisiana-7P  :tune:

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Now outwell have released the 2012 tents, does anyone know they will continue to make accessories such as extentions etc for their 2011 Models, or if once stocks are gone thats it... ?

Not sure whether to shell out for an awning now just in case we may need it in the furture.
Camping gear all set, now how do I fit it in the car......

Get whilst you still can! In the past when they stop a model they stop the accessories

Hi All,

Slightly confusing this one but here is my point of view on the changes to the Montana and Vermont.

If you have the 2011 version of Montana:

You can still buy the 2011 Carpet and Footprint as that has continued on for 2012 to allow people who bought the tent last year to still get one.

Additionally there are still Montana Front Extension & Awnings in the market from last year but stocks are limited! So people wanting the exact matching extension / awning. Get them sooner than later.

The 2012 Montana Awning will NOT be ideal for the 2011 tent because the groundsheet will be too short for the tent because of the new layout.

If you have the 2011 Vermont

Get a carpet and footprint as fast as you can, to my knowledge, there are none being made for 2012, I could be wrong but I am fairly sure that Outwell have not made carpets and footprints for the old version.

The new side awning should still be ok to use on last years version of tent. hope that helps people, don't hesitate to ask me any questions, if I dont know the answers, I will ask Outwell on people's behalf.

Hi I visited the site this weekend and saw the updates, comments from a no. 1 Outwell fan

- the Hartford L (which I bought last year) has changed for the worst re design wise....no porch now
- they have stopped the Carolina S which is great for me and the kids when we camp for a sat night and dont have the time to set up a big camp.
- Positive...some new catergories / tents which look great

Has anyone ever used a polycotton Outwell tent? I think this will be my next purchase in the future. cheers Jim :D

The new Hartfords are actually a lot roomier, they have opened up the living space and the tent feels brighter. I think its actually a massive improvement having seen them pitched. It does look miles better on the Hartford XL as opposed to the L though.

The Carolina is a miss, i agree with you. But if you look at the range, there is too much in that area anyway because you have the

Monterey 4
Oakland M
Birdland 3
Birdland 4
Nevada M
Wisconsin S

Which are similar, though one or two are slightly larger.

I would like to express my gratitude to David from Outdoorworld Direct for looking into this for me, taking time to check stock and getting back to me via PM's and offering Impartial Advise as above, It’s nice to come across a company who care for their customers and take time to chat and answer questions.

I also had to contact them after my IE crashed during the order process  but after a simple automated menu you where straight through to the right department who instantly checked the order, i can’t praise the staff enough, Polite, Helpful and knowledgeable.

I can now say I’m the proud owner of a 2011 Vermont XL Awning, I now just need to find a trailer to take all the other stuff with us to fill it up :rofl2:

Thanks again David and Outdoorworld Direct
