Outwell and Vacanza Products

Postby -ralph- on Sun Jan 08, 2012 11:01 am

Hi question from a newbie to the forum if I may.

Can anyone tell me what Outwell are doing with the Vacanza brand? Is it sometimes the same stuff, or is Vacanza always a slightly lower spec?

I'm looking at buying an Outwell airbed and would like to know if there is any difference between the two models. I know some of the Vacanza tents are basically the same design as the equivalent Outwell, but with a lower HH, but what about these airbeds?

The Outwell model

The Vacanza model

Once you add delivery to the Outdoorvalue.co.uk's price, then the price difference is negligible.

Many Thanks

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.

I'm not really sure if there is much difference.

Hopefully someone will be able to supply the info you want

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Ralph.

Vacanza is de spec product built especially for Argos and other major chain retail units. I think that the quality of the air beds when compared would be quite similar though, it could just be that vacanza uses cheaper materials. I know the tents are despecced for certain but I could not comment on the air beds to be honest. In my opinion. Actually I think outwell's air beds are not the best available anyway. Outsell are good at making the tent, sleeping bags and furniture. I think coleman and aerobed surpass the quality of outwell air beds.

Probably shouldn't really say that as I shouldn't take sides but I have found in our experience in the past that Coleman make the best air beds. Looking at the two links I think both are a good price though.
