Ooooh, don't get me started about doctors
Two years ago i was told i had tendonitis in my foot, was in agony hobbling round for 3 weeks, eventually got a 2nd opinion, they x-rayed it and i'd actually broken it (the outer bone) but seeing as it had now already calcified 'inline' then they just left it to it's own devices.......... but now i do have ongoing tendontis from when it was broke
Not long after that i had to have an arthroscopy on both knees (due to osteoarthritis), they couldn't get the swelling down on my right knee after the operation, i had 6 cortisone injections in the right knee and drained 4 times within 6 months
Upshot is, this all destroyed my cartilage on both outer bones (where they had injected it), now 6 operations later (3 on each knee) i'm left with needing a total knee replacement on my right knee and requiring a metal plate behind my left knee cap.............. but they won't do it yet as they say i'm too young!
Went to see doc the other day with view to getting some kind of permanent anti-inflamatory (if possible), Ibruprofen doesn't help with the swelling but Voltarol (diclofenac) does. He sat there and told me you can't get Voltarol tablets only the cream, i said you can tablets, he said you can't, i said i can and produced them to show him

............ he turned round and said well i can't prescribe them!
He did give me a months supply of some other brand name but it's basically the same stuff
