Stag party camping, please help!

Postby claxon01 on Sat Sep 17, 2011 8:11 pm

Hi all

New to this site, I apologise in advance if I have posted in the wrong area but I need help.

Thinking of doing something different for a stag doo next year around mid May but I am finding it so hard.
An Ideal site would be in the middle of nowhere, allowing camp fires and near a lake or river (for fishing). Areas of interest are- Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent, Essex, but would look further afield if need be.

If anybody out there knows of such a site in these areas that would accommodate around 10 lads I would be very grateful. :D

Cheers
Dave

Hi and welcome, have you tried camping ninja website? You can search for sites that match your list if criteria.
You are only jealous because the little penguins are talking to me

A number of sites have rally fields and may be happy to put you up in one of those as a group. Might be worth using that as a key word when searching.

Thnx Curly

Thought the website was a fraud on a first look (months ago) but compared to others it's probably the best (after searching properly).

Thank you

Thank you, I now know what a rally field is (not being sarcastic, I really didn't know what a rally field was).

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.

Good luck with your search, please do let us know how you got on and which site you managed to get on, for future use.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Maybe too far you, but we did a work camping trip here:
http://www.dolllyscaravancampsite.co.uk
They dont mind single-sex groups and have a "rowdy" field next to a babbling river which drowns out a great deal of noise. BBQ's and open fires allowed on the stoney river bank and a friendly owner to boot.
Ideal for what you need!

Hi. I know stag parties are welcome at O'Connors Campers who hire out vintage vw campervans and are based in Devon. Vans sleep 2 to 6. They can also recommend a site on Dartmoor with fires and river (unclear about the fishing though!). Try em, they're nice!
