Hi all - I'm new to the site as am looking for some answers to a few questions (I'll post in the appropriate forums). Just got back from a week on the south coast of the isle if Wight in a very exposed location on the coast. Our vango Tigris 400 did it's best in extremely high winds and driving rain until it finally gave up (poles snapped, guy rope tether points torn and pole sleeves nearly warn through). All tents on site were flattened. not complaining though as wanted excuse for new tent and moving in to a static caravan for the rest of the week made the other half realise how much she prefers tents

I've been on the Isle of Wight in bad winds when a lot of tents were flattened, not nice

Welcome. My parent have a static van in South IoW, wind scares us in the van, must have been horrid in a tent.
