Nights in the field???

Postby nutgone on Mon Sep 12, 2011 12:22 am

I've only just noticed it pop up at the bottom of my avatar, but I've been right through the user control panel & can't find any way to input figures?

What's it all about? (please)
4 Canvas tents (various sizes)
3 Plastic tents (various sizes)
& 1 Tin tent (yes, I'm a turn-coat, but it has a canvas awning)

My other passion;

Go into the user control panel, then click on profile tab and then scroll to near the bottom and you will see them with empty boxes to enter your figures.

Its basically an option for you to enter the amount of nights each year you had under canvas

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

:? I've just had a look at that Wayne and there's nothing showing - is it perhaps set that only Mods / Admin can see that feature...? :?

I knew I'd looked properly (I still love being right all the time, you'd think I'd be bored of it by now! :rofl2: )

This year won't be so hard, but I'll need the calculator for last year I think.

Thanks guys. :bigwink:

Easy for me, 2010 was a non-camping year .
Summer holiday was 2 weeks in a cottage near Montreuil sur Mer , France.
October half term was in a cottage in Hermanville, Normandy in walking distance of SWORD Beach.
So nights in the field campingwise is a big fat ZERO.

Bit a of part-time camper me, summer holidays only.
In saying that might have 2 camping trips next year.

I had a quick add-up in my head & came up with 40, will confirm it in due course.

This year isn't including my forthcoming holiday. But '09 was during my long break from camping, so I scored a less than impressive zero there as well.

I wonder what next year wil bring for us all. Hopefully (for me at least) a few more in France, as this year's English summer has put me off this country for good! :(

Mind you, I'm supposed to be camping out for new-years this winter, so I'll already have one or two for 2012 in the bag at the earliest opportunity. That's if I make it to 2012, I may well freeze on the 30th or 31st & be recovering from hypothermia for new years!
