New camping fridge?

New camping fridge?

Postby Admin on Wed Jan 27, 2010 5:47 am

Started looking about for some of the items we wish to change this year as discussed after our last trip..

Thinking about this fridge little on the expensive side compared to the old cool box but the increased size and that we can power by mains, 12v car or gaz I think it could be the one!

I hope they start selling this over here, it sounds like it might be a really good, uses less power than a usual electric coolbox and is cheaper - $70 is what ... £50?

I do like the 3 way fridge but the external size is pushing my limits i think.

The ChotuKool looks cool, with a capacity of 45L, the cheap price and cheep running it would be interesting to have a look at.

Nice one Andy, wow £174.99 new, you really would want ice beer from it for that  . I'm gonna have a closer look at it in September, looks a good size and a possible Christmas buy.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

That seems to be pretty standard now.. we still would have brought it that price had one not turned up on ebay as it did

We are currently saving up for one, apparently they are a must have, the OH has informed me. We have just sold a few bits on Ebay and have about £90 saved up in Paypal, got to dig a few more unwanted items out yet :D .

I was having a skim through other similar fridges and came across this one, if it was £200 I might be tempted :)

3 way Fridge Freezer, 30ltr fridge and 16ltr freezer here on EBay

Realy nice, but £525, come on, what the hell does it come with,,,,,,,,,,a fitted kitchen :o

Thats cool but way to expensive!

Impressive though..

Ice making facility, even at 32°C

Not sure how they do that!

Unless the mean ice when the ambient tempreture outside is 32°C

Am tempted to get the Waeco/Tristar one but one thing is putting me off, how do you close the lid with the pineapple sticking out? And if you can't where do you keep your pineapples? I suppose you can take the bananas out as they go weird in the fridge don't they.

On a more serious note, can you use the same gas bottle for the fridge and cooker? Is there a way to split the supply safely?
