Tent query on campsites

Postby paz on Tue Aug 09, 2011 9:07 am

Does anyone know if any campsites allow you to leave your tent up for a small fee to allow repeated weekend visits? I know that on some caravan sites this can happen but we have a tent. We live in the northwest, so would be looking for campsites within an hour or so of our home location in Cheshire. I assume this could only be done outside the school holidays too?
Many thanks

I've never come across it, but if you are prepared to erect on a hard standing rather than grass then I imagine some would. I personally would be more concerned about leaving a tent set up for a long period of time in all weather unsupervised. I don't think modern polyester tents are designed for long periods of use (IMO).

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...
