I haven`t bought a tent yet, only camped in cheap tents at festivals, so new to this world. I looked at the Maritsa 700, and liked the size and seperate porch area. A workmate told me too be carefull of the size, as he said it was hard too find a pitch.I rang a camp site , and the owner said it wouldn`t be a problem on her site, but she said it could cause trouble for other sites , especially the bigger commercial sites .Has anyone experienced problems finding a pitch for this tent?

some sites ask you what size your tent it, and if they have a size limit (some do),so they either refuse you or charge you for 2 pitches, some ask if the tent is over 5m in any direction, some just dont care how big your tent is, its more of a case of when ringing up for availability tell them its a large tent 7.1m x 5.4m, the will then tell you the score, if the say no, find another site.

Thanks for the reply. I know i can get a pitch, i just wondered wether it would be the majority of sites would refuse me, or if it was just a few.I guess it can`t be that hard as it isn`t close to the biggest tents i have seen, so would be pointless making such big tents if it ws difficult,

Mines 8m x 10m with the extention and i have not been turned down yet.
I always tell them the size and they have put me on a bigger pitch

I have seen some sites that say they will charge for 2 pitches so i dont go to that site ... funny but they wont give a 2 man popup any money back

My biggest tent is 7.7m by 4.15m and I have never had any trouble. As mentioned always quote your size and if they don't like it move on
