Hi Gear Zenobia 6 (2010) Review: our first tent
***
cannot praise it enough.its our first tent so have not experienced any to judge it by.
the zenobia is easily pitched [30 mins]and has withstood gale force winds within a week and upon inspection all guy ropes were all still tight and secure.

Couldn't agree more although it is our first tent we were very impressed, loads of room we had a huge triple layer double bed in our bedroom the kids had a normal double in there's and also a fold up chest of drawers and all the extra stuff kids bring, loads of room outside of the bedrooms we had another set of drawers in the middle of the tent and all 4 fold up chairs, it is definately worth adding the porch as it makes an already big tent massive,

Friends of mine has the Zenobia and I've camped in it. I feel that any praise of the tent must come with a few caveats.

The most serious is that, as with all Hi Gear tents sold exclusively at Go Outdoors, the price is up and down throughout the year. There appears to be at least three price points the lowest being £150, but it doesn't stay at that price very long; imagine the feeling if you buy it at a higher price only to find it reduced a few days later. At this lowest price it is a good purchase; at £200 less so.

As aleady mentioned a porch/extension is available and I believe that this is all but essential as getting in and out of the Zenobia when it's raining without the porch is hard work if you don't want to get the living area wet.

Finally, I find it to be a bit dark and dingy. The dark material means you are not woken by the sun in the morning quite so early but if you are trapped inside on a rainy day it can be a bit gloomy and this isn't helped by the small windows.

You get what you pay for, of course, and it was my friends' first tent and they are happy with it. But it's not a tent that I would choose.
