We are camping newbies and are considering buying an Outwell Nevada M for the two of us and our 1yr old

We have seen it set up and it looks to be a good size i.e. not too large but still plenty of living space etc

I am of the opinion that we buy a 2010 version at a discounted price but my partner thinks we should wait for the new version.

Are there any known issues with the Nevada M?

We are thinking of buying the carpet and the front extension as well as a package if the price is right - anyone know any good offers? I note that Outdoorworld Direct are doing a good deal with 15% off but the code is still not working - does anyone know when this will be up and running?

The cheapest I have seen the Nevada M is £196 on e bay

Welcome to the forum

The Nevada is a good tent and there are a few on here who will tell you a bit more about it.

I would buy now as next year the prices are going to go up.

I know outdoor worlds code is not working at the moment becouse of changes to the site, PM them and ask when it will be available.

The Nevada m just seems that class above the other weekender tents, fly mesh doors and cable tidys etc just give that little bit more functionality about it.
dont forget if you can see this item cheaper than in go outdoors not only will they match it but beat it by a further 10%

I rang Outdoor World but they could not say yes or no on the 15% for forum members - the guy on the phone said he thought that they are pulling it - thanks for the heads up on the Go Outdoors price match - I would sooner buy from Outdoor world but without the 15% they are not the cheapest

Sorry we couldn't help on this occasion, I have been away most of the last two weeks on trade events so i wasn't around when you called. Currently our 15% is offline as we work on our new site, another reason is a lot of retailers are having massive end of seasons sales making us sell the item below trade if we took the 15% off current prices.

Therefore it will have to stay off for a little while till margins come good again - i will set a new code up soon when the new site lauches sometime next week.

Btw, good choice on the nevada - its a quality tent which will be good for a first time camper.

Have now bought the Nevada M from Go Outdoors using their 10% price match policy.

HOWEVER - when I have opened the bag with the poles in they dont look new to me as the chrome ends are a bit scuffed like they have been pushed through a tent a few times already- also one of the poles (when put together) has a black section right in the middle as if it has been repaired - obviously all of the other poles are the mocha colour and match.

Can someone who has a 'Nevada M confirm that all of the poles are indeed Mocha and their is not a black section half way down - I want to be sure before I send it back.

I can't confirm with the Nevada, but on some of the vango tents there is a black section in the centre to indicate that it goes in the sleeve with the black marker.

Do any of the sleeves on the tents have black or grey markers where you push them in.

My hartford has poles that are grey straight through and others that have a red or black section in the middle to show which coloured sleve to push them through.

I think that you will find that they are the right poles.

Were the poles seperated with elastic bands .... if so they are new poles.
