I am guessing this is an 'in joke', you're going to have to share it with us now :-)

 , last time we went up Kinder, I brought them down a new route,,,,,,,,,,well it wasn't actually a route, I just took them straight over the side and down. , It was harder going than I thought it would be, but we made it back.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Not one of my best moments to be honest.
We were never lost, but we did go through some rough terrain.

Yes, but the worse bit by far was in one area, near a place called Mermaids Pool looked fairly level from about 400m higher up, but it was actually fallen boulders which over the centuries moss had grown over the gaps. You were basically 4/5 feet above the ground and had to feel for holes on each footing or your leg disappeared down the gaps. . Also we need to step it up in places from quagmire to actual streams to cross

LOL, and that was with a 6 month old baby on my back. It took about 4 hours to get back down. It would have given army cadets something to think about if it had been part of their obstacle course training! I really thought Mountain Rescue would have to come out. :tune:
Never again! :rofl2:

Its saved in my GPS unit, under Kinder Extreme. Funny though, the kids loved it.

I guess I'm going to be recovering from knee surgery over winter so will see where I am by then and even if I have had the surgery.

Otherwise it will be some mountainbiking and if my knee is fixed, some trail running would be nice.

I am a Walker turned Camper. So walking goes on all year round. Winter walking is very good - better views as a result of less foliage. The ground under foot is often better - less mud etc.

We will be giving camping a go over winter - probably on EHU with a tent heater.

Other than that - I play in brass bands - so that also goes on all year round.

Family History research is often good during winter.

My dad used to play in a brass band for years every Christmas morning the band would march the streets of the town. My dad dressed as Santa, all the kids used to out and watch give hugs it was great

been a weird year really, only used the caravan once at easter and my pajero blew a head gasket and cracked head driving home.didnt get the car fixed till july so bought a tent to salvage the season.we have used it once so far, enjoyed it so much we sold the caravan so the paj was no longer required.usualy we go away in the winter a few times in the caravan but that is not now an option.i think we may hire a cottage for a few long weekends.we are ex mountain bikers, the wife still as her ;spesh' but i sold my whyte back in march ,so thats something else we wont be doing.we took up kayaking and bought two sit on top yaks but found them to be very hard work and now are waiting till spring to buy two more so going yakking is also out.our house is now sold and we should be out in october, staying at our daughters may open new horizons or maybe not.watch this space.
