Hi,

If i should try to convince you to anything, then it would be to give a trailer tent a go
2 adults an 2 kids fits perfectly in a trailer tent and the kids love it.

We have a camp-let http://www.camp-let.com, and here in Denmark you can rent one, perhaps you can near you aswell.

Happy camping

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Hi. Welcome.

My other half was the sort of person I could never imagine camping. She also hates bugs. However we have now been camping as a family for the last 4 years (before that, went on my own). Now she loves it.

As already said, sewn in groundsheet helps with the bugs and we also have one of those little plastic bug repellent things you can hang up and that seems to keep the flying ones to a minimum. Wasps can be a nightmare in the summer but we take a can of wasp killer with us. They rarely venture into the tent anyway.

I think all the other stuff you asked, others have covered more eloquently than I could.
