Hi everyone, this is my first post on here so i hope you can help.

Im taking 3 months out from work to travel europe in my campervan and am a little confused by camping stoves! i understand there are two options 1. use a stove that takes the small disposable cannisters (such as the little campingaz ones) or 2. use one of the refillable liquid portable stoves.

my quieries are:

1. are all the small cartridges with the easy fit application universal? i.e if i by a small campingaz stove will i be able to use cannisters of any brand?
2. some cartridges come without the easy fit applicator, how do you use these?
3. if i chose to go with the refillable liquid option, what liquids do you use? (methylated spirits?)
4. are both the cannisters and liquids readily available throughout europe and which would you recommend for longish term travel?

Welcome to the forum.
I beleive all the small gass canisters are primarily the same but i am no expert on this so i am going to have to await the advice of others.

camping gaz are available in pretty much all french hypermarkets. we were also able to get them in germany and luxomberg. Have seen them in spain also..

As for the best choice not sure.. as we take a good supply with us but we only go for 3 weeks not 3 months lol..
