Hi Addo & a very warm

to the forum.
I'm a solo camper (I used to say a "lone camper", but that sounded a bit sad, solo sounds a bit more cool I think). I did a 5 week tour of France summer before last, all on my own (I wrote a blog too. There's a link in my sig, just below this post). I had a great time, there's nothing quite like solo camping for truly getting away from it all. It doesn't suit everyone, I'm one of those people who is very comfortable with their own company.
There's no doubt about it though, us solo campers do get looked upon in a strange manner. Not maliciously, I think we are just a bit of an enigma to others (or maybe some look upon us with envy, thinking "I wish I'd come on my own"

). It's well worth a try though, in my opinion.
I also attend meets & camp-outs with people from forums (I'm trying to arrange one myself for April, but it's down near Hastings, so probably a bit far for you), I would also recommend this, as everyone I've met so far has been lovely & I've had some really good weekends.
Best of luck.
