Where is that site in your photo? It looks lovely :)

Thanks. It's the top field of http://www.hafoddywyllcampsite.co.uk/ in Snowdonia. Lovely campsite. We had a great week there back in April and climbed Cadair Idris.

Hello and welcome.

Hafod Dywyll does indeed look lovely. I have a very large virtual brochure on UKCS but somehow that escaped under my radar. How come you were on the top field? Was the wooded area full or did you ask to be up there? And how were the facilities?

Thank you. Yes, the wooded area was quite busy, but we'd requested the top field specifically for the view and the sunshine (and the stream was a little quieter from up there).

The facilities were very basic. Two toilets and a shower for each sex. Drinking water tap. Firewood available to purchase. That was about it really. We washed up our dishes at the tent.

Had great time there though. It's a brilliant location if you want to climb Cadair Idris.
Camps this year:
March - Dunwich, Suffolk (3 nights)
April - Dolgellau, Snowdonia, Gwynedd (5 nights)
June - Coombe Bissett, Wiltshire (2 nights - rained off)

Hi and :welcome: to the forum, I think ive drove past that campsite (if its the one thats lower than the road), a site i use, that's the real basics, (toilet and a tap, and thas it),but its not far from cadar idris either, nice part about that area is the low flying planes, bit of a shock if you don't know about them, or arrive on a none flying day, last time i was there we had low flying ac-130's until 10pm at night,

never even attempted to walk or climb up that hill, but the area is great, and no light pollution,
