Even we haven't escaped down here in the south east. I'm off in my caravan tomorrow, hopefully, so here's what I had to do today.....
Get some bits of my exhaust welded for my car & get a new transmission selector cable (that decided to snap, leaving me stranded across a petrol station forecourt

)
Then, just as the rain started to REALLY lash it down, & the wind got up, & I had an hour before it was time to leave for work, I had to scrabble about under my car fitting all the bits.
After scraping my knuckles, getting very dirty & extremely wet, I managed to get the car back into service. & I was only an hour & a quarter late for work!
I am going on this caravan weekend tomorrow, if it's the last thing I ever do!!!
(Outside right now it sounds like I will be lucky to have a caravan left by morning, good job the storage place is sheltered).
4 Canvas tents (various sizes)
3 Plastic tents (various sizes)
& 1 Tin tent (yes, I'm a turn-coat, but it has a canvas awning)
