Hi all
So what makes The Camping Forum tops, it is the ability of our Administrator to allow first class up to date information from good retailers to inform us (from the horses mouth :bigwink: ) what is taking place :agreed:
Well done chaps

Hmmm double ban much fun! ;)

Thanks guys.. but what makes the place is everyone.. (spammers excluded) Without everyones input it would be pointless.. We do moderate but try to do it as non-intrusive as possible I... i say that but i know the opinion is shared with the mods so I'll change that I to we always want a place that is open and honest. and as for the retailers they have years and years of experience within the business that simply put we would be fools to ignore.. Yes they are at the end of the day running a business and looking for sales but I'm sure you will agree the insight that has been offered from for example David at Outdoorworld direct has been very valuable to many. Another example is recent addition to the forum Taunton leisure who have been providing details on next years line up.. Only 12 months ago we were struggling this time of year to obtain information on this years models.

The last few months I have been struggling with the balance of time between home life, work and the forum and have contemplated letting it go... (do not worry its not going happen) but it just could not be done.. why? because of everyone. From starting this forum, I have gained some great knowledge and further more some great friends. So for me this place is about everyone and thats key to its success :)

K i'm done now.. :) :)

I'm actually on my 3rd ban from sUKCS now. They must really NOT like me, I joined under another name, using a brand new email address & a different browser. After about a week (probably less) I just keep getting the "Oops" page  .

I suppose if you count the other pseudonym I used, it will be my 4th ban. But that one didn't even get a single post in. So I don't count that one. :tune:

This place is definitely the place to be. I do belong to others, one is a closed forum, with quite a small following of very loyal members, the other is an amalgamation of 2 other forums (Carry on camping/nationwide campers) which is good for meets, & friendly, but is pretty different from here, as I tend to count here more as the place to come to for information etc.

Yes, it's definitely friendly here, the last time I joined sUKCS I was told they weren't "snobby" like other forums. I almost got myself banned right there & then, on that first thread! as I know it to be very snobby! This forum doesn't have any of that, it really is "The Friendly Forum".

Its the people on the forum that make a forum, then you have the Hitler types on sucks, with the "do as i say not as i do"" approach, thats the sign of the forum on its last legs... here we are allowed to have an opinion and speak our minds without being restricted......
Camping is an addiction, and YOU will become addicted...

Just seems really firendly. Lots of good banter and I've picked up some great ideas for camping and I think I've shared some good tips as well. Helps to keep me going over winter as well!!
