I enjoyed reading that, I can remember alot of the roads from my haulage days, the A6 and A623 is a nice road, and a chapel isn't a bad village to be honest, couple of shops, morrisons and a few pubs..

Whats your next one???? Leigh to the lakes maybe?? or even Leigh to north Wales??

Fantastic read and what an achievement. Loved reading about some of the roads I know so well, especially the Lincolnshire ones. I cannot believe you cycled on the A17!! Terrible road.

I used to hate driving down the A17 when i was going Gees, same as when going over to Boston, fields and fields of cabbages.....

Yea the fens were pretty boring :tune: . I done the journey by car before and motorbike 20yrs ago! So i knew what the road was like but still pretty scary at times!!! Its like an unofficial motorway to be honest.... :uhoh: . Oh and one thing i never mentioned in my blog was the 'roadkill'.... It was everywhere on the A17 in particular... Even a young deer and saw a 'Pug' dog too???? Rabbits, squirrels.hares, pheasants and quail; I could have had a feast if i wanted!!! :rofl2:

Nothing wrong with a bit of road kill.

Haven't read the blog yet, but definitely will. I'm on Blogspot as well (Nutgone Goes Camping), it's a great blogging site.
