I'm supposed to be camping out at the last steam rally of the season here this weekend, but I've decided not to bother. I'm not too keen on the organisers & the weather looks like it's going to be crap, so I've (funnily enough) opted to fit a tow bar to my car this weekend instead. I picked up a 2nd hand one from Windsor yesterday. Yes it's a long way to go for a tow bar (about 150 miles round trip) but I was up there & back by about 1:00pm (leaving at around 9:00am), I only paid £30 for it & took my dad's HDI Peugeot, so the trip cost me about £20-£25 in diesel. Which makes a cheap tow bar.
So, what would I rather do this weekend? Watch steam engines, old cars & bikes etc on a muddy wet field, or stay at home & dismantle my car?
Well, I'd rather be camping, of course, but TBH I don't wanna get my tent wet this weekend, as I've got nowhere to dry it at the moment

& none of my family's bothering to go either, so it would be another solo affair, which is fine for site camping, but steam rallies are supposed to be a social event.

& 1 Tin tent (yes, I'm a turn-coat, but it has a canvas awning)
