I don't mind the thread drift on this one.... it gives me time to compile any further posts anyway....

Having seen the above pics of how bad things can get, here's a few contributions from me - with captions


Spotted enroute to Shell Island earlier this year, Mr & Mrs Average head for their first ever camping holiday, unsure of what to bring....


Obviously they took the lead from this family heading for a weekend in the Lake District and went out to their nearest camping store!


...who had spotted this couple enroute to their short weekend break at a lovely Scottish site which caters for Wild Campers who like to be minimalist....


I blame the tent makers myself - this couple offered to take their group's Vango tents in their pick up.


Outwell are the worst offenders though - this is their latest 6 berth tent in it's "compact" carry bag...


Group camping meets aren't what they used to be - all this gear for just a weekend?

Especially as Rob had arranged to bring some too.....
