Well I don't really do a lot, but I never seem to have any spare time

Work does take a lot of my time up, with traveling I do about 50 hours a week on average and on top of that I bring quite a few hours home with me.

I also give most of my free time to my family. I don't go/play football (apart from watching the odd match, 1 last year and none yet this year). I quite enjoy my house and garden (not vegetable as yet) and enjoy DIY.
I do enjoy walking and running, but don't seem to have had the time or energy this year for some reason.
I enjoy Sci-fi and most types of films and of course coming on here and reading and quite a few aspects of computing at a very basic level.

Thats about it from the top of my head.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

I knit, spin, crochet and am learning to weave. I also make Jewellery.

But mostly I do IT for Hampshire County Council, and sleep. (have sleep problems from health issues)

Oh and I go to Gary Numan gigs a lot. (no, he didn't die in a plane crash) ;-) - don't judge me! ;-p

Like already been mentioned, work takes up a lot of my time and I usually work around 60 hours a week (unfortunately being the NHS, after 37.5 hours thats all unpaid, goodwill time).

Family is the big part of my non work life, and I am father to 3 kids aged 5-16.

Until fairly recently was a keen triathlete and runner, but a run of injuries plus lack of time with the job, I now struggle with my weight and fitness. I still try to cycle and swim, bit not at the level of fitness as before sadly. However I am hopeful that this is just a passing phase. I like to mountain bike and road bike, but now my wife works many weekends, and with the on call weekends I have to do, I don't get out for the long 50+ mile rides I used to do most weekends.

More recently have started to look at hill walking to try to get my fitness up and tackled Snowdon last week, my first serious hill walk since my teens.

Big footie fan. Support Arsenal (being from North London originally) and I also like to support a local team, so its been Lincoln City for the last 10 years, but previously also Barnet and Stevenage depending on where I lived at the time. I also enjoy women's football and tend to see more Arsenal Ladies and Lincoln Ladies matches than I do the men. I also like to watch triathlon, athletics and cycling.

I like watching films and as for TV, apart from sport, can live without it, but as its there I do watch comedy and some music/arts stuff. I am a big music fan, with hugely varied tastes from 60s/Northern Soul, Mod, New Wave, Punk, guitar pop through to some classical stuff and jazz. I can listen to most stuff apart from bland chart music, new R&B and heavy metal. Always have music on, at work, home and in the car, and I also like going to live gigs. Not really keen on Gary Numan though!

Oh yeah, and camping!

Ok - I can see how it's working now, so it's my turn to send you all to sleep :tune:

My work is unusual - I'm a Tram Driver  Not the old-style ones, but the modern "Rapid Transit" ones, and we run between Birmingham & Wolverhampton.
http://nxbus.co.uk/the-metro

It's an interesting job with rather a lot of variety and unusual days - don't really get bored trundling up and down a 13 mile line for hours at a time thanks to some of the characters who use the service :bang:
I've been doing this job for 11 years now, but last year I went from full-time to part-time for a few reasons and it left me with more free time to do the other things in my life....

I've been in Aviation since leaving school back in 1978, firstly in the RAF, now for fun. I have been looking after an ex-RAF Hawker Hunter fighter jet at a Museum in Coventry since 1994, as I used to work on this one for real. I've been tinkering with it and got it working enough to scare the visitors, but seem to lack the time to spend as much time on the old girl now as I used to?
http://hunterxf382.weebly.com/index.html

During my re-kindling of the aviation bug within me, I started working as a volunteer at Airshows down in the Cotswolds at what was RAF Kemble.
http://www.cotswoldairshow.com/

Still doing these (3 shows a year takes a lot of work both there and beforehand as I now organise all the volunteers there).
Also down at this airfield is a resident charity I've got myself involved as it means a lot to me :fly2help
http://www.fly2help.org/index.htm

My camping actually has become part of these last two hobbies as the build-up to shows takes a team of many a whole week to set up, so we camp on site

I do have a family here at home (they still remember my name too...lol) and I do spend a lot of spare time between work shifts with them honestly
I also have a bit of biker in me, as has been revealed in another thread already - somehow I used to find the time to set up and run the national Owners Club for my bike, including sorting out the club's attendance at many shows each year....

I used to sing as part of a choral group along with my late father - eventually gave that up as there just wasn't enough time left to fit all things in, as you can probably imagine after reading the above :o

I like to go for an occasional blast on my mountain bike too - that tends to be when I'm feeling the need to get fit again to be honest

Ermmmm, oh yes and owning a 4x4 meant I not only joined the owners club but spent some time being one of the admins on their forum too - at least it meant a hobby at home :tune:

So I've had a quiet life really.... and all my days must be at least 27 hours long :rofl2:

Stands Up.......Hi I'm a camping addict also :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

I spend most of my time at home, (due to medical issues) so its normally days reading and searching web pages for my interests,, besides building, repairing and sorting out computer issues for friends, one of my main areas of interest and has been for a long time is amateur radio (and its not CB).. I normally spend the nights chatting to local stations, many are in the same radio club and are the camping crew that we do out twice yearly camps. Also at the club we operate HF and VFH stations, and we are currently taking part int he UK AC club contests, these are contests on most Tuesday nights, on various bands, (it comes under the topic of radio sport).. I'm also part of the clubs teaching group and i take part in teaching 2 of the 3 levels of the licence levels, the foundation and intermediate (I have forgot far to much to teach the advanced level).. A few times ive been asked to sit in the exams as a exam invigilator, (sat watching people sit their exam, watching some of the head scratching and face pulling can be comical)..
As for the sport radio, its normally a few groups from the club, take radio equipment, on top of hills, and contact as many stations in as many different areas as possible within a 2½ hour time limit, points are gained from the locator square (maidenhead locator) and the distance in km's, but to gain the points certain things have to be received by both stations, when all the logs are submitted they are checked to see if the information passed over is the same on both logs, each station has to log all the details ect. The furthest contact we have managed to make on 144mhz band has been Holland, and on the 432mhs it was the czech republic.

Yes we even take radio gear camping on contest weeks, to the amusement of some campers, and the horror of others lol.. Not many campers can understand the need for a 22ft aluminium scaffold pole with an 5m long overgrown tv antenna (easy short description) on the top, that turns around and points in different directions lol,

thats about it from me,

Yes im still a camping addict..............sits down....
Camping is an addiction, and YOU will become addicted...

UUmmmm ok my turn.... I work part time as a care worker for oldies, not great pay but i love my job.

Most of my spare time is spent with my girls, & parents. Apart from being a camping addict i'm also addicted to jigsaws. I'm also in the middle of making a rug (4 years so far ), i also do embroidery, though theres only so many cushion covers a house can cope with  .

Jeez i haven't mentioned The Mighty Gills yet, in years past i had an st, & travelled to over 60 league grounds, but i seemed to have grown out of that obsesion and didn't go to any matches last year :o
Happiness is packing your tent away dry & getting it back in the bag :-)

work as a construction manager for Skanska UK in the Mechanical and Electrical department. have been an electruician since I qualified after a 5 year apprenticeship started at 17 . I went into Crabair as the pongos like to call it and got medicalled out before completing Basic training ( bust an ankle fairly badly) so went back to school for a year to do A levels. got 2 A Levels ( Maths and Physics) then decided I needed some money so got an apprenticeship and the rest is history.

currently working on the largest construction project in Europe a major sports Venue in east London, I have lived in London for the last 12 years with my wife of 11 years and my 2 smashing Kids aged 10 and 4 . Moved from North Wales as my family and history would make The Jeremy Kyle show look like a sitcom. Still liek to go back but a weekend is long enough in my hometown.

my other weekend activities are cycling both road and MTB downhill . I have reently rejoined my local Sub aqua club and resumed diving after nearly 2 years away from it due to work commitments . this weekend I am stuck on the project providing the management cover. would rather be out in epping forest on the bike.
Quechua 6.2XL , and now an OUTWELL Vermont XLP . not as bitey in real life as i seem online.
